Oktoberfest:
An annual festival spanning the
month of October where Leavenworth honors it's Bavarian
roots and transforms the town with live music, German
food and drinks and activities for the whole family.

Lake Wenatchee State Park
Sno
Park:
Located 1 mile from
the Ranch, 4 loop trails, 15 miles of Groomed Cross Country
Ski and snowshoe trails. Info at Lake Wenatchee Ranger Station at

Nason View Trail:
Starts from the Kahler Glen Golf Course (Only 1 mile from Pine River Ranch) and goes just above
Nason Creek...make
sure to look down at the Pine River Ranch from the trail.
Chiwawa Snow Park:
Look for blue diamond
trailblazes. The Sea & Ski Trail is about
5 miles & follows along the Wenatchee River.
Flying Loop Trail:
Climbs 600 feet (for experiences skiers) and has views of
Entiat Ridge,
Chiwaukum Mountains and the
Plain Valley.
Sno-Park permits are easily purchased at the Ranger Station,
local grocery stores, Kahler Glen Golf Course & on the
weekends at the State Park.)
Stevens Pass Nordic Center:
Located 15 miles from
Pine River Ranch is the where on weekends you can find cross
country ski and snowshoe rentals, lessons, 25k of trails,

Squirrel Run Trail:
an easy rolling trip
through mostly forested areas, crosses snowmobile trails
often, use caution. (snowmobile trails are marked with
orange trailblazes)
The Leavenworth Winter Sports Club
grooms 24 km of trails in Leavenworth at the Leavenworth
golf course, at ski hill, near the Icicle River and at the
waterfront near downtown Leavenworth 509-548-5115

Downhill Skiing
Stevens Pass:
About 20 minutes from
Pine River you’ll find some of the best downhill skiing in
the state.

Mission Ridge Ski Area
is
about 60 miles east of us. On a clear day, enjoy a great
view of the Wenatchee area. One of the best areas around for

Ski Hill:
The original owners of
the Pine River Ranch helped contribute to the development of
a ski jump located at Ski Hill. It was used for
training by the early US Olympic ski jumpers. The hill is
accessed by two rope tows and maintained by the Leavenworth

Snow Shoeing
You can snow shoe
right off your back porch at Pine River Ranch. We have state
of the art
snowshoes for every guest here that are free to use. Strap them on at your leisure.
We’ll give you a quick lesson if you like and give you
tips on enjoying the valley. There
is nothing like the quiet and solitude of trekking through
the snow.

Sleigh Rides
Mountain Springs Lodge
is
the closest for sleigh rides. Enjoy their dinner ride ($65
each) through frosty meadows, and near Beaver Creek then
enjoy a delicious warm dinner of Prime Rib, smoked salmon,
seasonal vegetables and more in front of a river rock fire
place at Beaver Creek Lodge. Or skip the dinner and just
take a sleigh ride ($19 each) through the beautiful scenery

Red Tail Canyon Farm
Closer to downtown
Leavenworth enjoy a 40 minute
group sleigh ride ($16 each) “over the hills and through
the woods” complete with a warm fire and hot chocolate!

Icicle Outfitters Sleigh rides are from November 30
through February on East Leavenworth Road just off Icicle
Road in the big "meadow" and along the Icicle River below

The largest outdoor theater between Seattle and Spokane
gets over 20,000 people annually attending the magnificent live
plays. Summer productions have included such classics as
