VolksFest
A multi-event, three day
festival of walks. Volkksport is a century old German
tradition of a yearly sporting event, one of which is
walking. Anyone who is able may participate. These are
sanctioned events held in all 50 states as well as over 40
countries.

Leavenworth Spring Bird Fest
The
Leavenworth area
attracts a wide variety of
birds. See calliope hummingbirds, white-headed woodpeckers,
harlequin ducks, osprey, western tanagers and MacGillivray's
warblers. While birding is the heart of the weekend,
activities will also include geology, wildflowers and the
arts. Professionally guided trips and activities range from

Nason View Trail:
Starts from the Kahler Glen Golf Course and goes just
above Nason Creek...look down at the Pine River Ranch from the trail.
Chiwawa Sno-Park offers some great skiing. (look for blue diamond trailblazes)
The Sea & Ski Trail is about 5 miles & follows along the Wenatchee River
Flying Loop Trail climbs 600 feet (for experiences skiers) and has
views of Entiat Ridge, Chiwaukum Mountains and the Plain Valley.
Squirrel Run Trail: an easy rolling trip through mostly forested areas,
crosses snowmobile trails often, use caution. (snowmobile trails are marked with orange trailblazes)

contribute to the development of a ski jump located at Ski Hill. It was used for training by the early US
Olympic ski jumpers. The hill is accessed by two rope tows and maintained by the Leavenworth Winter
